One rare small naturally smoothed piece Tsesite, tectite, tektite 3g-4g SN54991

A small piece of Tsesite that has been naturally smoothed by the desert.

In prehistoric times a meteorite later known as Gibeon composed of Iron, Nickel and small amounts of Cobalt fell into earth's atmosphere and broke into pieces that fell over a large area of southern Namibia. It was called Gibeon for the town around which pieces were later found.

Tsesite is a combination of Goethite and Limonite that has been weathered by the desert. It is only found around a village nearby to Gibeon called Tses and is thought to be associated with the falling of the Gibeon meteorite.

The indigenous hunter gatherers of the area known as the San believed that every object in nature has a soul and that in every stone a life force would develop it's own will. They believed that the Tsesite would remember and know of the creation of the earth and would therefore bring deep seated or primal fears to the surface of consciousness. It was used as a Shamanic stone and worn as a protective amulet.

These small natural pieces are an ideal size to hold during meditation or to be used as pocket stones. Carry them in your bag or pocket or place them under your pillow.

Size and Weight.

These nineteen pieces measure between 1.3cm and 1.7cm long and 1cm to 1.4cm wide and weigh between 3g and 4g.
