Large striped Chocolate Aragonite, Calcite hand polished stone 30g SN46302

A beautifully patterned striped Aragonite hand polished stone.

This Aragonite is from a recent new find in Pakistan and you will see it sometimes called Chocolate Calcite.

Aragonite and Calcite are sister minerals with the same chemical composition, Calcium Carbonate. Calcite forms in hot water enviroments such as thermal springs and Aragonite forms in cold water enviroments such as oceans and the only way to tell them apart is to know where they came from. As these stones have come from a high altitude cold and snowy mountainous area it is most likely they are Aragonite.

The stone you see in the photographs is the one you will receive.

These polished stones are an ideal size to hold during meditation or to be used as pocket stones. Carry them in your bag or pocket or place them under your pillow.

This stone is 5cm long and 2.2cm wide and weighs 30g.
