A rare and very beautiful 'Rose De France' Amethyst crystal tumble stone.

'Rose De France' is a pink to lilac variety of Amethyst.

Most Amethyst is coloured by the presence of Iron with the greater the quantity of Iron resulting in the deepest purple Amethyst. 'Rose De France' contains much less Iron. It is also dichroic, that is it is two coloured and the colour depends on how you look at it. They are also exceptionally clear.
