A rare natural piece of Blue John Fluorite crystal. This piece sits upright as shown in the photographs.

Blue John is a form of Fluorite found under only one hill known as Treak Cliff just outside the town of Castelton in Derbyshire, England.

It is mined on a small scale from only two locations, Blue John Cavern and Treak Cliff Cavern. It is found in veins which likely formed in the limestone of the Peak District in the Carboniferous and Early Permian times.

The piece you see in the photographs is the one you will receive. The acrylic stand is not included.

Natural crystal pieces like this one are beautiful additions to a meditation or healing space and make great altar stones.
