A rare 925 silver marked Blue John Fluorite crystal pendant.
Blue John is a form of Fluorite found under only one hill known as Treak Cliff just outside the town of Castelton in Derbyshire, England.
It is mined on a small scale from only two locations, Blue John Cavern and Treak Cliff Cavern. It is found in veins which likely formed in the limestone of the Peak District in the Carboniferous and Early Permian times.
