Dragons Blood Jasper is not actually a Jasper. It is a combination of green Epidote and red Piedmontite. It is sometimes also called Dragon Stone.
Dragons Blood Jasper was previously found only in the Pilbara region of Western Australia where local Aboriginal legend says it was formed from the remains of deceased ancient dragons, the green being their skin and the red their blood but in 2015 it was also found in South Africa.
