Apache Tears/Obsidian in Crystal Healing.
Obsidian is a powerful forceful stone that requires some courage to work with. Apache Tears have similar properties to Obsidian but are considered gentler in effect.
Obsidian brings out the hidden inner you to allow true understanding of the motivations and desires that have left negative marks upon the present. Once the past is understood Obsidian gives the self control and will to bring about change.
It is like a mirror that magnifies for a true and deep inspection of what's always been in front of you but you have managed to never look at before. Once seen clearly it is impossible to go back to the state of denial and issues must be dealt with.
Obsidian is also a powerfully protective stone though and once you have decided to work with it, is extremely supportive.
